Explain – On February 8, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the monetary policy.
What is reported? Repo rate – is the interest rate at which the central bank (RBI) of a country lends money to the commercial banks (SBI). Monetary Committee Policy was started in 2016. Its members are 6 in total (three are from RBI, and three are appointed by the Central Government) and its Chairman is Chairman – RBI Governor (Currently – Shaktikanta Das).
