Explain – Border tourism is increasing rapidly in the country. Border Security Force (BSF) is playing an important role in this. Tourist destinations are being prepared in the border areas under the government’s ‘Vibrant Village Programme’. The government has allocated Rs 4800 crore for this. Budget has also been allocated. In the initial phase, 662 border villages will be focused under the scheme.

Under this program, a Friendship Museum is being built in Petrapole village of North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. This museum is to be inaugurated in April. Brick and cement have not been used in building this museum. It is being built with steel and glass concrete structure. That means this museum will be eco-friendly. It will cost Rs 90 crore to build this four-storey museum.
