1: When is International Literacy Day celebrated today?

International Literacy Day is celebrated every year on 8 September. The State Literacy Mission Authority has prepared a book ‘Akshar Pothi’ for illiterates. In this, reading is taught by joining letters.

‘Ullas-Navbharat Literacy Campaign’ is being run till 2027 to make illiterate people above the age of 15 literate.

Asia’s longest Drive-in-Beach is ready in Kerala. It is being prepared in Muzhappilangad of Kannur district. Drive-in beach means where you will be able to drive cars at high speed on the beach. Here a sandy road has been built on a concrete base for 4 km. Footpaths, playgrounds, kiosks, hotels are also being built.

Rs 233 crore will be spent on this project. 75% of its work has been completed. Its 2 km part will be opened for tourists in November. The remaining work will be completed in January 2025.
