India’s Siemens Healthineers Company has prepared an indigenous RT-PCR kit for testing monkeypox. It has been recognized by the Central Security Drugs Standard Control Organization. The kit will be prepared in a unit in Vadodara. 10 lakh kits can be made every year.

Jay Shah has been elected Chairman of the Cricket International Cricket Council (ICC). 35-year-old Shah is the youngest Indian to reach this post. He will take over on December 1 when Greg Barclay’s term ends. Shah has been the BCCI secretary since October 2019 and the Asian Cricket Council chairman since January 2021.
